.: Useless Info
I am a twenty-something techie chick from somewhere in the UK. I am a self-confessed nerd, but being a nerd makes life more interesting. I have a fondness for cult film and creating web-sites most of which I never publish. I am educated, although I do not profess to being a genius, just informed with a desire to know more about the important things in life. I have a dislike for shallow people, pretty boys and most aspects of organised religion. I've stopped debating whether God exists, but this doesn't make me a bad person.

.: Film Buff
Browsing though my DVD collection, I noticed how many excellent films I have ... wow I've got good taste! Here is my top ten.

1) Midnight Express - Heartwrenching drama about an American caught smuggling hasish out of 1970's Turkey - superb true story!
2) The Shawshank Redemption - Another prison drama, get the tissues!
3) Dune - I'm a sucker for a failed sci-fi spectacular - why did this film fail? It's visionary!
4) 2001: A Space Odyssey - Stunning, one to relax to (until you try to figure out the white room/space baby bit - I have a theory!).
5) A Clockwork Orange - Check in for some ultra-violent ultra-violence ... ahead of it's time!
6) The Passion of the Christ - I'm not religious but this film was very moving. Most noteworthy was Hristo Shopov as Pilate, that's a man!
7) Donnie Darko - One to watch a few times, then debate it over a few beers!
8) 12 Monkeys - Another one for thinking about, easy to get yourself in knots with time travel.
9) The Matrix - Spectacular sci-fi, great story, sequels were disappointing though.
10) The Fifth Element - So cheesy, so over-the-top, so Gautier! Just great fun after all that seriousness above!

.: Music Buff
I'm reaching that time in my life where I don't follow the charts that much, you will know what I mean if you are in your late twenties. However, there are still occasional gems (a couple of recent ones even made it to my top ten track list).

2) Toploader - Achillies Heel
3) The Rolling Stones - Sympathy for the Devil
4) The Verve - Bitter Sweet Symphony
5) Finlay Quaye feat. William Orbit - Dice
6) The Rolling Stones - Brown Sugar
7) Bronski Beat - Run Away
8) Kasabian - Cutt Off
9) Robbie Williams - Feel
10) INXS - Mystify
